Atticus Estate, Woodstock

Project Snapshot

Rich in history and strong in character, Woodstock is an integral component of Victoria’s past. The region was first settled in 1841 after one of the earliest European settlers purchased a property. As the years passed, the local infrastructure and community gradually built up, until it was completely wiped out by bushfires in January 1968. Channelling its Australian spirit and proven perseverance, the town rebuilt itself into a mecca for cattle grazing, farming, poultry, horse and dog breeding. The region is now the third-fastest growing municipality in Melbourne.

Voce Development Group was inspired by the red-gum woodland landscape and wanted to share the region’s simple lifestyle and united sense of community with Victorian residents. With this vision, VDG directed their efforts towards establishing an all-encompassing and premium residential area in Woodstock.

In partnership with Victorian-based construction company, Universal Corporation will soon be a destination of choice for those seeking to balance a natural landscape with cosmopolitan
convenience. The community centre and shopping precinct means residents can indulge in comfortability and convenience, without needing to venture too far. However, the exceptional landholding also North has direct access to Donnybrook Train Station, the Hume Freeway and Epping-Merriang Road, ensuring efficient access to the Melbourne CBD.

Ensuring the development caters to budgets and needs, the 40-hectare lot now includes more than 450 residential lots, which range from 280-square-metres to 400-square-metres. The newly subdivided blocks are integrated with an abundance of parklands and reserves, ensuring the region celebrates its beautiful natural surroundings. VDG will work with the land purchasers to design and construct their dream home.
In an ode to Woodstock’s rich past and enduring spirit, Atticus Estate is designed to evolve with time. Catering to everyone from young couples and established professionals to families and retirees, this land development project is a rare opportunity to secure your slice of the Great Australian Dream. Expressions of interests are open now.

Project Vision

VDG appreciates the importance of the physical environment in supporting child play. After securing a slice of prime real estate in Victoria’s thriving Burwood and partnering with Amiga Montessori, VDG envisioned a place that catered to the social and physical development of every child.

With this ambitious framework, VDG directed every effort towards designing a space that provided an abundance of sensory stimulation and learning experiences, without compromising on the safety and security each children. While the needs of this young demographic were the primary focus, VDG also set out to deliver a project that was an easy-to-use and practical environment for supervising carers.

Reflective of our extensive portfolio of child care centres across the state, the final plans and designs of this Burwood Child Care Centre effortlessly balanced the children’s developmental growth, while also supporting the staff’s ability to do their job. By considering a convenient location, basement parking and proximity to local amenities, VDG ensured the site will be easily accessible to the entire community.

To maximise safety and encourage creative play, a mixture of different textured materials were used on the interior and exterior of the building. This child-safe and bright fit-out will not only provide a sanctuary for children today but will satisfy VDG’s vision of longevity and enduring value.

Imagine a space that evokes lifelong memories, personal growth and an uncomplicated childhood. Places at this Burwood Child Care Centre will be highly sought after.
